Loudbrook is an indie rock classical duo that takes its name from the translation of the artist couple's last name, Lautenbach. As composers and performers, Bryan and Melissa Lautenbach form a fiery duo, with Melissa on vocals and flute and Bryan on vocals and keys. In February 2008, Loudbrook released its debut CD, Braille | Spirit Songs a-j. The bands debut release combines rock, classical and ambient electronic elements into a deep feeling 70 minutes of spontaneous song.
Loudbrook is now involved in two major projects. The first is the continuation albums in the Braille project, letters k-s and t-z. The second is the Inharmonicities project, an ambitious musical lament that has been in process since 2002. Presently, only Hey Listen Lover (incongruous waltz) is released from Inharmonicities and is available for download, with more to come. In April, May and June, Loudbrook continues touring with Phil Keaggy on his 30th year celebration of The Master and the Musician.
Originally from Ontario, Canada, Bryan moved to Tennessee in 2000 to pursue his masters in theory composition from Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU). Five years later he met the woman who would become his partner both in marriage and in music. Melissa had relocated back from Colorado to Tennessee in 2003 after receiving a music degree from Belmont University two years earlier. She was performing and teaching in Franklin when she met Bryan. Bryan and Melissa enjoy finding beauty together in all things.
